Without a doubt, Sheryl Crow is one of the most popular and successful female recording artists in the world today. Her music blends rock, country, folk, pop and blues into one mainstream sound and she has won an incredible 9 Grammy awards.
A talented singer, songwriter and guitarist, Crow’s many hits include “All I Wanna Do (Is Have Some Fun)”, “The First Cut Is The Deepest” “If It Makes You Happy”, “Everyday is a Winding Road” “A Change Would Do You Good” “My Favorite Mistake” and “Picture”, the famous duet with Kid Rock.
Similar to Crow herself, Canadian singer/songwriter, JennaLynn Flesch has graced the stage with the likes of Tom Cochrane and worked with Kim Mitchell during her own stint on the Capitol-EMI label in the late 1990’s. With two full length albums to her name, she has toured worldwide, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
So it is with no surprise that JennaLynn Flesch brings vivacious vitality to the Sheryl Crow song catalogue in her one-of-a-kind tribute to the American songstress. Slinging a guitar on her hips and belting out these rockin’ tunes in front of a stellar backing band, Jenna’s show provides real-world, street-level musical credibility coupled with undeniable charisma, showmanship and sex appeal.
JennaLynne celebrates the music of Sheryl Crow at the Backstage Capitol Theatre in Delhi on Saturday May 23rd with a special two-hour event called “Sheryl Crow: The Woman of Song Tribute” starting at 8:00pm. The Delhi show will be split into two separate sets, with the music of Sheryl Crow focused on in the first part. The second set will expand to include other legendary female performers including Patsy Cline, Lesley Gore, The Shirelles, Linda Ronstadt, Anne Murray, Shania Twain, and Sara McLachlin to name a few. “From the great female pioneers of the past to today’s chart-toppers, this show will have a little something for everyone” notes Flesch.
The show also includes a special acoustic number written by Flesch’s guitar teacher and mentor, the legendary John Denver. “We also perform John’s tune ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’ which was originally a hit for Peter, Paul and Mary and more recently for Chantal Kreviazuk”.
