LONDON – Puppy Pawlooza – London’s Festival for Dogs - has attracted the biggest collection of animal rescue groups that Southwestern Ontario has ever seen.

In its inaugural year, Puppy Pawlooza has the financial backing of ten corporate partners, the City of London, and over 100 sponsors throughout London-Middlesex and the surrounding counties. All have joined together to support Pawlooza and the grassroot animal rescue charities that they have teamed with.

The rescue organizations – showcasing their adoptable dogs and cats – are among 80 pet-related vendors being showcased at Pawlooza. The festival is expecting thousands of Southwestern Ontario dog owners and their canine friends to join a frenzy of fun events like pet psychic shows, cutest dog contest, dock diving, trick demonstrations, obedience classes, pet first aid demonstrations, frozen yogurt licking contests, and a day full of other quirky events and contests.

Puppy Pawlooza is a joint fundraising initiative by two local not-for-profit organizations, The Animal Rescue Foundation and Leads Employment Services. The project is 100% charity-driven, all of the time put into the festival is donated and all of the proceeds go directly to charity.

The festival will take place on Saturday, August 22nd from 10 AM – 6 PM at the Plunkett Estate, just minutes outside of West London [near Oxford Street West and Commissioners].
